The MOTION project is a project between researchers, engineers, and hospitals with the goal of seeing children with cerebral palsy to walk again one day. Maxon motors has a key role in this development.
Did you know that 54% of children with cerebral palsy can walk unaided, meanwhile 16% require special devices to walk, and 30% are not able to walk at all at the age of five. Researchers at Junia – one of the leading institutions of private higher education in Europe – has been working on the MOTION project for many years to create an exoskeleton that could aid and change the lives of thousands of children. These exoskeletons are powered by maxon! The Junia team’s exoskeleton has precise requirements, something that only maxon have been able to meet with high quality and reliable products. As such, maxon France has coupled up with Junia for cause of creating well being for children.
